Project Kids Inclement Weather Alert
Project Kids will be offering care on late starts, early outs, and snow days unless the entire district closes or a state mandated school closing is issued.   Every effort will be made to notify parents at least 2 hours in advance.

5 ways to stay up to date:

  • School Messenger (automated phone call) if PK Care will or will not be available on an inclement weather day

  • KTTC Weather Related Closings

  • Facebook (Kasson-Mantorville Community Education)

  • Twitter (@KM_CommunityEd)

  • District and Community Education Website

All other updates, delays, or cancelations affiliated with the school will be posted to the K-M website, as they are determined.

  • When PK is open and weather situations appear serious, the Superintendent and Community Education Director will monitor weather reports and conditions and whether a no travel advisory has been issued within city limits. If PK needs to close, the Staff will call the parents registered for late starts, early outs and snow day care and notify you of our early closing. Social media sites, local television channels, and website will be monitored to reflect the most up to date information.  If we need to close before PK is scheduled to open, we will attempt to make the decision before 6:00 a.m.  Please check sources of communication and updates listed above to ensure Project Kids is open.

Please see the information below regarding Snow Day Service
