WELCOME TO K-M YOUTH GYMNASTICS!
Little Stars: 30 min class/once per week (Toddler/Parent)
(18 months - 3 years old)
This introductory class is a great way for both parents and gymnasts to take a look into what the world of gymnastics is. This class requires the parent to do most of the physical ‘help’ on certain events, while the coach guides you both through activities. Not only does this offer a great bonding experience between you and your child, but it provides your child with the developmental skills they will use on a daily basis.
Rising Stars: 60 min class/once per week (Preschool-Grade 1)
This is a beginner level class for young children to learn the basic fundamentals of gymnastics, increase their strength and flexibility, while also developing many motor skills: Coordination, agility, hopping, and jumping. Aside from the athletic skills they will be acquiring, they will learn many social skills like sharing, teamwork, and listening while following directions. More than anything else, this class will be FUN for your children.
Shooting Stars: 60 min class/once per week (Grade 2 and Up)
This class is designed to be a training ground for all future classes your child will take. In this hour long class, we will focus in more detail on all the skills that are essential to growing as a gymnast. In order to move beyond this class and participate in the more advanced classes, your child will have mastered a certain checklist of chosen skills.
Novas: 90 min class/once per week (Grade 4 and Up)
This class is similar to what we focus on in the Shooting Stars class, while incorporating an older age group. It will continue to be designed as a class where the athletes will begin to learn all the essential skills needed to further their gymnastics ability. In order to move beyond this class and participate in the more advanced classes, your child will have mastered a certain checklist of chosen skills.
Supernovas: 120 min class/once per week (Advanced)
This class is offered for the gymnasts who have mastered the skills that are taught in the Shooting Stars and Nova classes. We will now be incorporating more advanced skills into the practices, which requires for us to spend more time with the gymnasts, making the class length now an hour and a half. While still continuing to have fun, your children will be perfecting the basic skills of gymnastics while being exposed to more challenging ones.
KoMet Pre-Team (Coming Soon - Let us know if you are interested!)
The goal of the pre-team class is to prepare the gymnasts mentally, physically, and emotionally to be ready for competitive gymnastics. We will start focusing a lot more on completing routines that contain all the necessary requirements on each event, while mastering the skills needed to compete in entry-level competitions.
